Press Release: Susan Wild Announces Over $710,000 Raised in 45 Days Since Primary Election

Allentown, Pa. (July 9, 2018) — Today Susan Wild, Democratic nominee for U.S. Congress in Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional district, announced over $710,000 raised in just the 45 days since her come-from-behind victory in the May 15th primary, bringing her to over $865,000 raised in the second quarter of 2018. This represents the highest quarter in congressional history in the Lehigh Valley.

“I am humbled, encouraged, and inspired by the incredible momentum and energy of our campaign right out of the gate from our primary,” Susan said. “I made a pledge to not accept corporate PAC money in my campaign, and the overwhelming outpouring of individual support is a testament to how much the Lehigh Valley is ready for a change. We are looking for advocates for our community over national corporate special interests.”

Susan will report over $800,000 raised in the July 15 filing, covering the period from the April 25th pre-primary report to June 30th.  More than 86% of her donations come from individual contributors.

Susan Wild recently secured the Democratic nomination for the 7th district with 33% of the vote in a tough six-way primary. This support represents the enormous consolidation of local democratic energy behind her campaign. Susan has been endorsed by the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO, End Citizens United, former PA Governor Ed Rendell, and numerous other advocacy groups and local officials.
